Sweet Rain and Emma Sold

Rain sweet rain….After almost two and one half months of 100 degree days (this is Michigan not Texas, remember) and no rain, drought and dying trees, grass and shrubs and moving hoses and watering 24/7 we had some significant rain last night at last. I had to get up at 1230 a.m. and unplug all of the electrical’s and telephone so that we did not lose anything to power surges

Hear those angles singing?

After 5 years of serious spring flooding, I never thought I’d be happy to see rain again, but I am.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY: My Emma table sold yesterday…within 5 hours of being delivered to Farmhouse Chic.  What a thrill! A lovely couple from Iowa was vacationing in our area, fell in love and took Emma home with them. Pretty Amazing!

Bye bye Emma, enjoy your new home!

Sneak Peak on two new painting projects….I started painting an old porch chair with a large graphic on it. This was a very fun project and I will definitely be painting more letters and number on pieces in the future. In fact I’m working on three industrial shop chairs right now and plan to number those as well. Stay tuned.

Just a sneak peek. Check back in tomorrow for pictures of the whole “Just a front porch chair” project.

As aways, thank you for stopping by the small house under the big sky.
