Labor Day-Celebrating the Work of Our Hands

Happy Labor Day holiday all!

It’s been a strange labor day for us this year. We had our four-year-old granddaughter last week so nothing much got done around the house or our property. The lawn tractor had broken down, twice this month, we got  behind on lawn care as well.

So we spent the Labor Day weekend catching up on chores. We mowed our 2-acre lawn, trimmed, swept sidewalks and then cleaned the house and blanched and froze snap beans and applesauce. Not a very exciting weekend at the Small House this year.

Today, Monday, I am feeling under the weather so plan to just veg most of the day. Tomorrow we start packing for our upcoming camping trip.

No rest for the weary!
