White Oak Garden Playhouse Set for Autumn

I’m having a ball decorating for Fall this year.

You may remember my windfall of hydrangeas blossoms I wrote about earlier this week. read about it here. https://smallhouseunderabigsky.wordpress.com/2013/10/01/hydrangea-blos…ng-from-heaven/

I’ve been busy decorating all week with them! And today I got the playhouse ready for our fall open house this weekend (Saturday, Oct. 5 and Sunday, October 6, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and of course I used these lovely hydrangeas blooms.

First I filled the window box and realized, much to my delight, that the paint color is exactly the colors of the pastel green petals. It was like I had planned this when I choose my paint colors, but of course I did not. It was just serendipity-like discovering the mass of blossoms sitting on the side of the road just waiting for me.

Then I set about styling the front of the playhouse and gathered the three tier brown ble, lime green runner with brown and a ceramic orange pumpkin. I photographed, edited and whalla. It’s now autumn at the Small House Garden Playhouse!
