Snowy Day Field Trip Photographs

Even though it is still deep winter in SW Michigan it was an extraordinarily beautiful day today.

It was too cold for a long walk but none-the-less I wanted to really enjoy the beautiful sunshine, blue sky and fluffy white clouds today. So Gene and I took a photo tour of some Allegan County back roads near our home.

An abandoned Allegan County one-room schoolhouse in the rural landscape.

After a couple of days of warmer temperatures we woke to several  inches of fresh wet snow, the kind that really clings to the trees for hours. It was wet, thick and very beautiful!

Country roads take me home.

I had hoped to scout out some large old dairy barns but didn’t find any today. But we did find this wonderful rustic and weathered one-room school and this simple but scenic country dirt road. Even though we found ourselves driving around in circles (not on purpose!) we enjoyed the simple adventure.
